Our President

 

      Reverend Franklin Delano Sampson, Senior

The Reverend Franklin Delano Sampson Senior was born January 31st. He is the fifth child and fourth son born to The Reverend and Mrs. Harry Burney Sampson, Senior in Houston, Texas. He attended Matthew W. Dogan Elementary School of Houston Independent School District; George Washington Carver Elementary and George Washington Carver Junior-Senior High School of Aldine Independent School District; and graduated from Kashmere Gardens Junior­-Senior High School. He entered The University of Houston upon High School Graduation, and was graduated and awarded The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. His Post Graduate Studies was done at Prairie View A & M University in Counseling and Guidance.

     Reverend F. D. Sampson Senior was married on March 12, 1972 to Miss Fannie Marie Iles. He is the father of one daughter, De Anza Michelle Sampson, and two sons, Franklin Delano Sampson Junior and Frederick Dwayne Sampson.

     Reverend F. D. Sampson Senior confessed his call to preach The Gospel on May 21, 1967, and was licensed to Preach on September 17, 1967, and was ordained on December 14, 1969, all at Friendship. Reverend Sampson was call to be Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Incorporated on Sunday, January 23, 1972.

     Reverend F. D. Sampson Senior served as past Moderator of Unity Missionary Baptist General Association of Texas, Incorporated; past Vice President of The Baptist Ministers Association of Houston and Vicinity; past Chairman of the Ministers Conference of The Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas; and past Chairman of The Commission on Orthodoxy of The National Baptist Convention of America, Incorporated; the present Treasurer of The National Baptist Convention of America, Incorporated; past President of Trinity Gardens Integral Forces, Incorporated; past President of Trinity/Houston Gardens Super Neighborhood; President and Chief Executive Officer of Visions of Faith Ministries, Incorporated.

     Reverend F. D. Sampson Senior is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Reverend Sampson is a Master Mason with membership in Purple Heart Lodge #205 F & AM; he was advanced to Sublime Prince in June, 1984; he was created a Grand Inspector General and was created a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in October, 2014.  He is also a member of University of Houston Alumni Association. Reverend Sampson has an Honorary Doctorate of Ministries from Mount Hope Bible College; a Doctor of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian University, and was nominated and selected for the Fourth Edition of Marquis Who’s Who In Religion. 

     Our Vice President -   

       Reverend Franlin D. Sampson, Junior is the son of Reverend and Mrs. F. D. Sampson, Senior.  He is the second child and the first son born to that union.  He is hte husband of the former Ms. Kristina N. Reece and the father of two sons (Franklin Delano Sampson,III and Fraylon DeShawn Sampson.  He accepted and announced his call to the gospel ministry on July 28, 1999, he was licensed to preach the gospel on December 31, 1999, then ordained on July 29, 2001.

     Reverend Franklin D. Sampson, Junior is a political activist, a Prince Hall Affiliated 33 Degree (Grand Inspector General) with membership in purple Heart Lodge #205, Dougals Burrell Consistory #56, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Muytic Shrine and the United Supreme Souncial.  He serves as an officer for hte MOst Worshipful Prince Hall GRand Lodge of the State of Texas as The Right Reverend Grand Chaplain.

     Reverend Franklin D. Sampson, Junior is a graduateof Prairie View A&M University with the degree of Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Guidance, and hold the position of Director of Counseling and Guideance for the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District (the third largest school district in Texas with 270 counselors and 115,000 students).

     Reverend Franklin D. Sampson, Junoir has served as Special Assistant to th Mayor of the city of Prairie View and assistant to the City Judge of the same city.  He has been very influential in providing housing for multiple communities and personally assisted with the implementation and developement of two neighborshoods in Waller, Harris, Ontgomery, and Galveston counties.

     Reverend Franklin D. Sampson, Junior serves in The National BAptist Convention of America, International, Incorporated as the Director of Media, and Vice President of The Pastors and Ministers Conference.
